I guess it depends on your monitor's settings. On mine (1024 X 768) the purple square is taller than it is wide. This is technically a rectangle. Also, if it were actually a square, the middle of each side of the square would touch the same concentric circle.
Even if the optical delusion referred to the outside frame of the overall figure, on my monitor it is wider than it is tall, again describing a rectangle.

move ur self back and forth and youll see th square getting bigger and smaller depending on the way ur moving! try it its cool!
